Accessible parking

If you hold a Mobility Parking Scheme Permit issued by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS, formerly the RTA), you may park for a certain period of time in designated parking zones. This applies to parking zones with meters or ticket machines. You can use your Mobility Parking Scheme permit for free accessible parking for the following periods of time:

  • an unlimited amount of time in parking zones of more than 30 minutes;
  • up to 2 hours in parking zones of 30 minutes; and
  • up to 30 minutes in 5 minute parking zones.

You must move your car during the times shown on the sign for the following zones:

  • Bus Lane
  • Clearway
  • No Stopping
  • No Parking

How do I apply?

To apply for a Mobility Parking Scheme Permit from the RMS, go to http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/usingroads/mobilityparking/.

Applying for an accessible parking space in the Marrickville area

Mobility Parking Scheme Permit holders can apply for an accessible parking space, subject to conditions. Anyone with an RMS-issued Mobility Parking Scheme Permit may also use these spaces.
