Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre, Petersham Park

The Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre is located in the leafy surrounds of Petersham Park. Refurbished in 2013, the facility includes a brand new 8 lane, 25 metre outdoor swimming pool built to FINA (international body for swimming standards), with a kiosk and extensive outdoor recreation areas. The centre also operates extensive learn to swim, aqua-aerobics and other water activities.

The Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre is managed and operated for Council by Belgravia Leisure Pty Ltd.

Open from October to March every year. Closed from April to September.

Sarah "Fanny" Durack

Fanny Durack was an Olympic swimming legend and a champion of women's rights. She was the first woman swimmer to win gold at an Olympic Games, and at her peak held every world freestyle record.
