Online services

Council aims to make accessing our services as easy as possible. In order to do this, we provide a range of online services and aim to add to these into the future.

Here are the online services currently available:

Download Council's new app 'My Marrickville'

Download on the Apple Store
Download on Google Play

Council has launched its new and improved app for smart phones and tablets. The My Marrickville app gives users instant access to an extensive range of Council information and services, all in the palm of your hand.

My Marrickville provides users the ability to pay their rates, report an issue, book a free council clean up, hire a venue, keep track of upcoming events in the area or even have their say on Council's community engagement, plus a whole lot more!

Available for download now via the App Store for iPhones and iPads, or via Google Play for Android devices.

Apply online

Council has recently introduced a 100% online application process for the following:

Book a free waste collection

Council offers a free kerbside clean up service every week of the year. Collections are available in four categories: household items and furniture, metal and white goods, mattresses, and branches (bundled and tied).

Report an issue or make a service request

You can report an issue using our online service request form. If you've already raised an issue, you can log in using your email address and reference number to check the status of your request.

You can also report an issue directly to Council using your iPhone, iPad or Android device using the Snap Send Solve app.

Pay your rates

You can pay your rates online by credit card using Council's secure payment gateway.

Access your rates notice

You can choose to receive your Council rates notices via email as well as access them online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Help the environment by making paper rates notices a thing of the past – register to receive your Council rates notices direct to your nominated email address instead.

Whenever your rates notice is ready, we'll send you an email with your rates notice attached in high quality (PDF) format. You can also log onto the secure site and access both your current and past notices in the same high quality (PDF) format.

Not only are they identical to paper statements, you can also save them on your computer or print them should you still require a paper copy.

Visit this page to find out more.

Book a venue, park or sportsground

Council's online booking system allows you to submit a booking request for one of Council's venues, parks or sportsgrounds for your function or event. You can also browse suitable venues and availability.

Please note all bookings require a lead time of 7 business days prior to the first booking date. Paper and scanned booking forms will no longer be accepted.

Development Applications

Council maintains an online public register of Development Applications. You can use this system to access the following:

  • public notices of all Development Applications currently on exhibition; and
  • Development Applications lodged from July 2005 onwards – including their current status and stage or decision – using the "Application Search" link.

Electronic Housing Code

The Electronic Housing Code (EHC) is an online tool that enables people to:

  • investigate whether they are eligible for Exempt and/or Complying Development based on their site restrictions;
  • print and/or save an Exempt Development Report;
